Jessica’s practice focuses on the defense of medical malpractice and wrongful death claims in Kentucky and Ohio. She has extensive experience defending hospitals, long-term care facilities, physicians, nurses, and other health care providers. Jessica is an Eastern Kentucky native and loves UK basketball.

Experience

Jessica has been representing hospitals, long term care facilities, physicians, nurses and other health care providers in the defense of medical malpractice and wrongful death claims for more than a decade. After graduating law school, she completed a clerkship with the New Jersey Superior Court, Essex County Vicinage, Criminal Division, in Newark, New Jersey. She then honed her skills as a medical malpractice defense attorney in New York City where she practiced for more than 7 years. Upon deciding to start her family, Jessica returned to her home state of Kentucky and now practices throughout the Commonwealth and the State of Ohio. Jessica’s practice includes, but is not limited to:

• Representation of clients in all aspects of medical negligence and wrongful death claims, including but not limited to pre-suit evaluation, claim response and investigation, discovery and motion practice, and trial
• Representation of clients on appellate issues in Kentucky and Ohio
• Advising clients on a variety of risk management issues
• Representation of clients regarding alternative dispute and extra-judicial resolution of various litigation related matters
• Advising clients on a variety of HIPAA-related issues
