Mike believes the keys to his success are understanding his client’s businesses, establishing/maintaining effective relationships built on integrity and trust, then being able to deeply research the most complex areas of law, as necessary, to provide sound counsel and guidance for his clients to achieve their goals or minimize certain risks. Mike has experienced handling compliance and transactional matters in various areas of law including matters that involve consumer and commercial real estate transactions, e-discovery, cyber law, and privacy issues, consumer transactions, violations of debt collection law or consumer law, advertising law, Medicare, and healthcare law, environmental law, school law, intellectual property (copyright, trademark, trade secrets, unfair competition), franchising, contractual/licensing matters, and navigating various federal regulatory schemes (OSHA, FERPA, HIPAA, GLB, TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, MMSEA, etc.). On the litigation side, Mike has been lead counsel in numerous trials and has skillfully represented his clients before various regulatory bodies. He is committed to achieving the best outcome for his clients in the most cost-effective manner even if this sometimes means trying cases to verdict. Mike frequently advocates for his clients in state and federal courts by providing insurance defense and direct representation defense against a broad range of claims involving federal statutory litigation, complex torts, business, and commercial claims, construction defect claims, professional liability claims, product liability claims, real estate disputes, premises liability claims, environmental claims, advertising injury arching goal of each matter is to collaborate with the client to identify and achieve the best, cost-effective solution for their particular circumstance – even if this means going to trial. Mike and his family regularly engage in various service activities in conjunction with other organizations such as the local Boy Scouts, Mount Carmel Christian Church, and many local schools in Clermont County.
