Former Partner Appointed as Judge

Curt Kissinger, a former partner with Rendigs, was recently appointed by Gov. to the Hamilton County Municipal Court, District 4. Judge Kissinger took the bench the day following his appointment and assumed a full docket in less than an hour after being sworn-in.

Bailey & Lykins Elected As BLAC Officers

Donyetta Bailey and Kandyce Lykins were elected to serve on the Executive Committee of Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati (BLAC).  Bailey will serve as the President  and Lykins will serve as Vice President for the duration of 2015 and will be sworn in at the upcoming Annual Meeting.

BLAC, an affiliate of the National Bar Association, is a not-for-profit corporation whose goals are:

  • To improve the administration of civil and criminal justice.
  • To work with national, state and local bar associations in solving problems which are peculiar to African-American Lawyers.
  • To see that all lawyers and law students in the Greater Cincinnati area, regardless of race, color, creed, religion, national origin or gender are given the opportunity to share equally in the benefits of the legal profession.
  • To do all things necessary and incidental to the fulfillment of the purposes of this Association, in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 1702.01 et seq.

Bailey and Lykins will also be coordinating with the Cincinnati Bar Association through the BLAC-CBA Roundtable.
