Don’s practice focuses on civil litigation in the area of medical defense litigation, transportation, maritime and wrongful death and injury. He defends hospitals, corporations, nursing homes, and physicians. He counsels clients on risk management and quality assurance matters.
Jeff’s estate planning practice involves the representation of clients on a wide range of matters, including issues such as probate avoidance, creating distribution plans for minor children and/or disabled individuals, and drafting documents to accomplish the client’s objectives upon their disability or death.
Karen’s practice focuses primarily in the area of medical malpractice defense. She has a B.S. in Nursing and has extensive experience defending hospitals, extended care facilities, physicians, dentists, nurses, and allied health care providers in medical malpractice and wrongful death claims.
Mike’s practice is focused on civil litigation. He has extensive experience representing clients in state and federal trial and appellate courts including: • Product liability actions defending manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and retailers • Trucking and transportation matters involving personal injury, wrongful death, and carriage of freight; • Commercial and corporation litigation including breach of contract, unfair competition, shareholder disputes and buy-outs; • Professional negligence litigation (accountant negligence, medical and health care negligence, wrongful death suits, and professional licensing board matters); • Defending self-insured companies, insurance companies and their insureds against liability and coverage claims • Personal injury and wrongful death litigation; • Construction litigation; and • Probate litigation (will contests, trust-related disputes and declaratory judgment litigation).
Richard’s practice focuses on all phases of Business Law, including commercial litigation, real estate, and corporate law. He also has extensive experience in personal injury litigation and criminal defense. Richard regularly assists individuals and businesses with preparing franchise agreements, drafting general business contracts, licensing agreements, and asset purchase agreements. When not working, Richard is a “foodie” and enjoys trying out new local restaurants.
Ryan practices in general civil litigation, with an emphasis on federal court practice and insurance defense. Prior to joining Rendigs, Ryan served as a law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge David L. Bunning in the Eastern District of Kentucky, and to U.S. District Court Judge William J. Zloch in the Southern District of Florida. He has also served as a State Prosecutor in Indiana, and as an advisor to a national non-profit corporation in Washington, D.C.
James’ practice focuses on litigation, with an emphasis on construction law, employment law, civil rights, and professional liability. Beginning with his federal courtship, James has substantial experience with federal court cases, at the trial court and appellate levels. James is often called upon within the office and by referring counsel to prepare and argue appellate briefs.
Tom has an active practice defending hospital and healthcare providers in southern Ohio and throughout the state of Colorado. Tom’s practice focuses on the representation of physicians, nurses, hospitals and other healthcare providers in actions involving allegations of professional malpractice. Tom is a trial lawyer who defends healthcare professionals state and federal Courts located in Colorado, Ohio, and Kentucky in cases that involve catastrophic adult, fetal, neonatal injuries and wrongful death.
For more than a decade Ashley has focused her practice on all areas of Domestic relations law including divorce, child custody and visitation, domestic violence, adoption, dependency, abuse and neglect, and termination of parental rights. After graduating from law school Ashley went into private practice with her father where she honed her skills in the domestic relations practice for more than 14 years prior to joining Rendigs.

His insurance coverage practice includes opinions, litigation, and counseling carriers on policy issues.
Ed’s practice focuses on litigation, with an emphasis on products liability, fire losses, environmental claims, mold claims, toxic torts, employer liability, insurance coverage, professional liability, and commercial litigation. Relying on his technical background, Ed is often called upon by other attorneys to handle the most complex expert witness issues.
Felix is an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Specialist in Labor and Employment law. His practice is concentrated in the areas of employment, appellate, aviation, bad faith and personal injury. Felix’s court appellate background is a key factor in his selection to handle some of the most difficult procedural issues in litigation.
Steve’s practice focuses on business law and the defense of professional liability claims. These practice areas include corporate law, commercial and malpractice litigation. He regularly handles negotiations, acquisitions and leasing of commercial properties.
Jeff’s practice focuses on civil litigation, with an emphasis in the areas of medical defense litigation and health law matters. He represents and is active in the defense of hospitals, physicians, nurses and other health care professionals against medical malpractice and wrongful death claims. Jeff also has experience representing nursing homes, professional practice groups and other health related organizations in litigation matters. He routinely counsels clients on a variety of risk management, quality assurance, medical staff and other health law matters. In addition, Jeff maintains a diverse appellate practice. He has experience advocating for clients on a wide variety of matters in courts of appeal throughout Ohio.

Pete’s practice focuses primarily on the areas of complex and product liability litigation. He has active and extensive pretrial, trial, and appellate experience with a concentration on products liability, high exposure and complex matters, commercial litigation, and insurance matters in numerous states across the country.
Dave’s primary practice focuses on private dispute resolution. After an extensive career in trial work, he now serves as a mediator for a variety of legal disputes. Dave handles mediation and arbitration of disputes in the areas of employment law, professional liability, construction, engineering, and architectural liability, premises liability, product liability, and bodily and personal injury litigation. Dave is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and an Advocate in the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has extensive trial experience in State and Federal courts dating back to 1966.
Tony’s practice focuses on the areas of government, public, and business contract arrangements and dispute resolution. Tony brings to the table broad experience in all facets of federal agency procurement from major system acquisition to foreign military sales to service contracting.
Ted’s practice focuses on several different areas of litigation including medical malpractice, workers’ compensation and related administrative proceedings (VSSR, OSHA), commercial and personal injury litigation. He regularly appears in courts both state and federal in Ohio and Kentucky and also practices before administrative agencies such as the Ohio Industrial Commission and OSHA.
Jon is the team leader for the insurance and general litigation group. His practice focuses on litigation, which encompasses matters involving serious personal injury and wrongful death claims, product liability, fire losses, mold claims, toxic torts, and class actions. Jon prides himself in advancing cases quickly toward an early evaluation and resolution, whether by negotiation, motion or trial.
Tony’s practice focuses on Commercial Litigation and Business Law. His diverse practice includes complex litigation and class action experience, substantial appellate practice, commercial real estate, bankruptcy, workouts and reorganizations, banking and business organizations as well as contested probate practice. He represents a wide variety of businesses from transportation and logistics companies, to manufacturers, banks, agricultural lenders, farmers, real estate management firms and drug companies.
Jon’s practice focuses on litigation, with an emphasis in the areas of insurance defense in Kentucky and Ohio courts. He handles personal injury, property damage, and premises liability claims. He is experienced in all aspects of a civil case, from discovery to alternative dispute resollution to trial to post trial relief, and represents both individuals and businesses.
Paul’s practice focuses primarily in the areas of estate planning, administration of estates and trusts, and federal and state taxation and compliance. In his estate planning practice, Paul works with clients with a variety of needs including the preparation of wills and trusts, education and special needs trusts for children, and more complex trusts for high net worth clients including the formation of limited liability companies, family limited partnerships, charitable remainder trusts, and private charitable foundations.
