Karen’s practice focuses primarily in the area of medical malpractice defense. She has a B.S. in Nursing and has extensive experience defending hospitals, extended care facilities, physicians, dentists, nurses, and allied health care providers in medical malpractice and wrongful death claims.
Tom has an active practice defending hospital and healthcare providers in southern Ohio and throughout the state of Colorado. Tom’s practice focuses on the representation of physicians, nurses, hospitals and other healthcare providers in actions involving allegations of professional malpractice. Tom is a trial lawyer who defends healthcare professionals state and federal Courts located in Colorado, Ohio, and Kentucky in cases that involve catastrophic adult, fetal, neonatal injuries and wrongful death.
Brian is of-counsel with Rendigs, Fry, Kiely & Dennis, LLP, where he continues in his practice representing individuals, institutions and corporations in complex litigation and trials including healthcare, product, professional and commercial matters. Brian has defended companies and individuals throughout the country, appearing as first chair in more than a dozen states and has tried more than 45 civil jury trials to verdict as first chair counsel. Brian is a frequent speaker to attorneys and clients on matters involving risk management and ethics. He is recognized by his peers as an Ohio Super Lawyer, ranked for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America and AV peer review rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Brian is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a select group of trial attorneys recognized for their skills in the courtroom. Areas of concentration: Civil trials and litigation including, drug and medical device litigation, professional liability litigation consisting of medical, hospital and legal, business litigation, insurance coverage, and catastrophic losses.
Jeff’s practice focuses on civil litigation, with an emphasis in the areas of medical defense litigation and health law matters. He represents and is active in the defense of hospitals, physicians, nurses and other health care professionals against medical malpractice and wrongful death claims. Jeff also has experience representing nursing homes, professional practice groups and other health related organizations in litigation matters. He routinely counsels clients on a variety of risk management, quality assurance, medical staff and other health law matters. In addition, Jeff maintains a diverse appellate practice. He has experience advocating for clients on a wide variety of matters in courts of appeal throughout Ohio.
Ted’s practice focuses on several different areas of litigation including medical malpractice, workers’ compensation and related administrative proceedings (VSSR, OSHA), commercial and personal injury litigation. He regularly appears in courts both state and federal in Ohio and Kentucky and also practices before administrative agencies such as the Ohio Industrial Commission and OSHA.
Jon’s practice focuses on litigation, with an emphasis in the areas of insurance defense in Kentucky and Ohio courts. He handles personal injury, property damage, and premises liability claims. He is experienced in all aspects of a civil case, from discovery to alternative dispute resollution to trial to post trial relief, and represents both individuals and businesses.
Jessica’s general litigation practice focuses on representation of clients in a wide variety of matters, including contract-related and business tort litigation, complex commercial and product liability, healthcare and medical malpractice matters, civil rights claims, and much more. Jessica is experienced in all aspects of a civil case, and represents both individuals and businesses in both state and federal legal matters. Jessica’s family law practice involves representing and guiding her clients through divorce, dissolution, child custody and support matters, spousal support and property division, and other domestic relations matters. She is trained and certified in collaborative practice. Jessica also practices with the firm’s estate planning and administration team. She prides herself on focusing on and understanding the unique needs of her clients and working closely with them towards resolution, while being sensitive to the personal and sometimes emotional aspect of these issues.
